Welcome!
We work with our clients to develop materials and demonstrate processes that meet critical needs and opportunities.
Clients can expect:
- Reduced technical risk
- Improved process performance
- Faster time to market
...to the Advanced Processing & Applications Group. Our scientists and engineers develop and demonstrate chemical and material processes and systems in such diverse areas as nuclear waste treatment and disposal, sensors and analysis, and gas treatment and purification.
Functional Multi-scale Materials (FM2)—produces and functionalizes new materials, at the nanoscale, for applications such as catalysis, separations, hydrogen generation and storage, and novel sensing platforms for chemical and nuclear threats.
Glass and Materials Science—develops innovative materials and fabrication processes for a wide range of applications, including waste vitrification.
Process Engineering and Development—conducts bench-scale through pilot-scale studies, with a focus on providing energy and material balances and process flowsheets; preliminary process economics; and equipment and systems demonstration.
