Research Teams

Glass and Materials Science—develops innovative materials and fabrication processes for a wide range of applications, including waste vitrification.

Process Engineering and Development—conducts bench-scale through pilot-scale studies, with a focus on providing energy and material balances and process flowsheets; preliminary process economics; and equipment and systems demonstration.

Advanced Processing & Applications staff comprise one of seven technical groups within the Radiological and Nuclear Science and Technology Division in the Energy and Environment Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
